Metro Manila Subway to deliver first direct airport rail link

MANILA — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. presided over a groundbreaking ceremony Wednesday for the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 Station, a key component of the Metro Manila Subway Project that will establish the first direct rail link to the country's primary international gateway.
The new station represents a significant step forward in modernizing transportation infrastructure serving the metro. Upon completion, the facility will dramatically reduce commute times for travelers and workers, cutting the journey from Valenzuela City to Pasay City from approximately 90 minutes to just 40 minutes.
The Metro Manila Subway Project is designed to alleviate congestion in the sprawling capital region by providing a high-capacity rapid transit alternative. The NAIA Terminal 3 Station will integrate seamlessly with the broader network, enhancing connectivity across Metro Manila and improving access to one of Southeast Asia's busiest aviation hubs.
