A mild earthquake measuring 3.6 on the Richter scale struck the Talasari area in Palghar district, Maharashtra, with no casualties or structural damage reported. According to Vivekanand Kadam, chief of the District Disaster Management Cell, the tremor did not result in any injuries or harm to residential or commercial properties in the affected region.
The quake, while noticeable to residents in the area, remained relatively weak in intensity and did not trigger any major emergency response. District authorities monitored the situation and confirmed that essential services and infrastructure remained unaffected.
Palghar district, located in the northern part of Maharashtra state, occasionally experiences minor seismic activity.
