Military Sports Council concludes cleanliness drive with tree plantation initiative

The Sports Council of Recruitment concluded its Swachhata Hi Seva fortnight—a dedicated campaign promoting cleanliness and sanitation—by organizing a comprehensive tree plantation drive. The initiative marked the culmination of two weeks of focused efforts aimed at strengthening hygiene practices and environmental consciousness among participants.

The plantation drive saw active participation from military personnel and volunteers who contributed to greening efforts as part of the broader cleanliness mission. By combining environmental stewardship with the organization's core focus on sanitation awareness, the activity reinforced the government's commitment to the Swachhata Hi Seva program, which seeks to mobilize citizens toward maintaining cleaner public spaces and sustainable practices.

The fortnight-long campaign, which included various cleanliness drives and awareness activities, successfully engaged communities in promoting better sanitation standards. The transition from direct cleanliness initiatives to environmental conservation through tree plantation underscored an integrated approach to public health and ecological sustainability.

SCoR's culminating activity aligns with national priorities on environmental protection and personal hygiene, demonstrating how institutional efforts can contribute to broader social objectives. The organization plans to continue such integrated initiatives to foster lasting behavioral changes in communities across its operational areas.
