CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro — The Philippine National Police's Mimaropa regional office logged zero crime incidents throughout the Undas observance period spanning All Saints' Day and All Souls' Day, Police Brig. Gen. Christopher R. Dela Cruz announced on Tuesday.
The successful security operation encompassed the provinces of Occidental and Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, and Palawan, with police maintaining heightened visibility and patrols during the holiday traditionally associated with cemetery visits and family gatherings.
The crime-free period reflected coordinated law enforcement efforts across the region's territorial jurisdiction, with police units deployed to monitor public areas and transportation hubs frequented by residents during the two-day commemoration.
The regional police director's statement highlighted the significance of the zero-incident record during one of the year's busiest travel periods, when thousands of Filipinos typically visit cemeteries and ancestral sites throughout Mimaropa.
