QUEZON CITY — Miriam College and the Inquirer Foundation formalized a strategic partnership on September 29, establishing a framework to enhance student internship placements, faculty development initiatives, and community-based programs.
The Memorandum of Agreement was executed by Ms. Connie Kalagayan, Executive Director of the Inquirer Foundation, and Dr. Marilu Madrunio of Miriam College. The collaboration aims to bridge academic learning with practical industry experience for students while creating professional growth pathways for educators.
Under the partnership, students will gain access to expanded internship opportunities within the Inquirer Foundation's network and related organizations, providing real-world exposure to journalism, media, and business operations. The agreement also encompasses faculty exchange programs and capacity-building activities designed to strengthen teaching methodologies and institutional capabilities.
The initiative aligns with broader efforts among Philippine educational institutions to equip graduates with market-relevant skills and experience. Through the collaboration, both organizations seek to foster a generation of professionals prepared for contemporary workplace demands while contributing to community development projects.
The partnership represents a growing trend of educational institutions partnering with established media and corporate entities to provide students structured pathways into professional careers.
