Missing Benguet resident found dead near river in Kibungan

BAGUIO CITY — Authorities have recovered the remains of Raul Aludos Juan, a 29-year-old resident of Barangay Sagubo in Kibungan town, Benguet province, who had been missing since September 3. The discovery was made at approximately 2 p.m. on Monday in the Sagilic area of Kaliwaga, located in Barangay Gaswiling, along the Manahongkong River. Search and rescue teams located the body during operations spanning multiple days following the man's disappearance. The circumstances surrounding Juan's disappearance and death remain under investigation by local authorities. Kibungan is a mountain municipality in the Cordillera Administrative Region, known for its rugged terrain and river systems.
