Missing Sri Lankan cat found at Dubai Airport after week-long search

The cat went missing on October 11 when its owner was transiting through Dubai International Airport. Despite an extensive search operation, Chuuti remained unaccounted for during the following seven days, leaving the passenger deeply concerned about the animal's welfare.

Dubai Airports' team eventually located Chuuti within a baggage carousel tunnel, an area typically inaccessible to passengers but part of the airport's operational infrastructure. The discovery brought an end to the anxious search and provided relief to the cat's owner.

The incident highlights the challenges posed by large international airports, where animals can inadvertently access restricted areas during the boarding and baggage handling processes. Airport authorities have not disclosed further details regarding the cat's condition following its recovery or the circumstances that led to its discovery in the baggage system.
