Mixed fuel price adjustments set for Philippine pumps this week

MANILA — The Philippines will experience a mixed adjustment in fuel prices effective Tuesday as global oil market fluctuations continue to pressure local pump prices, the Department of Energy said Monday.

Gasoline prices are set to decline by 30 centavos per liter, providing some relief to vehicle owners and transport operators. However, motorists using diesel will face an increase of P1.20 per liter, while kerosene prices will also edge upward under the latest pricing adjustment.

The divergent price movements reflect ongoing volatility in international crude oil markets, which have kept fuel prices in flux across the region. The DOE regularly adjusts domestic fuel prices based on global crude oil trends and foreign exchange movements.

Transport groups and consumers have been closely monitoring fuel price adjustments, which directly impact commuting costs and the prices of goods transported across the archipelago. The mixed price adjustment underscores the continued uncertainty in global energy markets affecting Philippine consumers.
