MMDA suspends Metro Manila coding scheme for Monday holiday

MANILA — Motorists in Metro Manila will get a reprieve from the expanded number coding scheme on Monday, November 2, as the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority automatically suspends the traffic management measure during regular and special non-working holidays.

The MMDA's suspension of the coding scheme on non-working days is a standing protocol designed to accommodate increased vehicle volume typically seen during holiday periods when many residents travel outside the metro area.

Monday's suspension comes as the region anticipates heavy traffic during the Undas holiday break, with transportation hubs recording significant passenger volumes in the days leading up to the observance. The MMDA has not announced any additional traffic management measures beyond the standard coding suspension.

Motor vehicle owners are reminded that the expanded number coding scheme will resume normal operations on the next working day following the holiday.
