MobiKwik Plans to Double Lending Revenue Share to 50%

MobiKwik's leadership has outlined an ambitious growth strategy centered on its lending vertical, according to disclosures by Chief Executive Officer Bipin Singh. The fintech firm currently derives 25-30 percent of its revenue from lending operations and plans to double that proportion to 50 percent.

To support this expansion, MobiKwik expects quarterly loan disbursements to scale to ₹1,500-2,000 crore over the next six to eight quarters. The trajectory signals a deliberate shift in the company's business model as it seeks to diversify revenue streams beyond its core digital payments infrastructure.

The pivot toward lending reflects broader trends in India's fintech sector, where payment platforms are increasingly leveraging their customer bases and transactional data to offer credit products. MobiKwik's push represents a strategic effort to capture opportunities in the fast-growing consumer lending segment.

The company's lending initiatives build on its existing platform infrastructure and user network. By deepening its presence in credit provisioning, MobiKwik aims to establish a more balanced revenue base and enhance profitability as competition in digital payments intensifies.
