Model arrested in Lucknow tycoon murder case targeted wealthy youths

Investigators probing the death of Lucknow businessman Shiva Sharma have uncovered details of an alleged criminal racket involving model Shradha Dube, who was arrested in connection with the case. According to police statements, Dube operated as part of an organized group that frequented hookah bars across the city to identify and target wealthy youths from prominent families.

The modus operandi of the alleged gang involved Dube and her associates befriending young men from affluent backgrounds at social venues. Once trust was established, the suspects would invite victims to private residences under various pretexts. Police allege that at these locations, the youths were subjected to physical abuse and robbery.

During interrogation, investigators say Dube revealed details about multiple such incidents. The Lucknow Police have indicated that the case extends beyond the Sharma murder, suggesting a pattern of targeting wealthy individuals for extortion and assault.

The arrest of Dube has triggered a broader investigation into the extent of the criminal network and the number of victims involved. Police are continuing their inquiry to establish connections between Dube, other gang members, and the circumstances surrounding Sharma's death. Authorities have not disclosed whether additional arrests are anticipated as the investigation progresses.
