Model arrested with liquor files bail plea in Bihar court

A woman identified as Neha Jha and her brother-in-law Ishan, both arrested in connection with liquor smuggling in Samastipur district, have filed bail applications before the court. The pair were apprehended while in possession of 75 liters of illicit liquor, according to law enforcement authorities.

Both accused are currently lodged in jail as their bail petitions await judicial consideration. The applications have been filed before the district court, with hearings scheduled for September 19 before Special Productive Court-2.

The case has attracted attention on social media platforms, with multiple posts circulating regarding the arrested individuals. However, the court has yet to grant bail to either of the accused at this stage of proceedings.

The matter is expected to be decided following arguments from both the prosecution and defense counsel during the scheduled hearing. The judicial examination of the bail applications will determine whether the accused can secure temporary release pending trial.
