Modi calls for united action against divisive forces, societal challenges

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday called for unified action to tackle mounting societal challenges and divisive forces threatening social cohesion. Inaugurating the Chinmaya Amrit Mahotsav Global Sammelan, Modi stressed that addressing contemporary ills required collective responsibility from all sections of society.

Modi noted that new challenges have emerged over recent decades, necessitating shared commitment to finding solutions. He highlighted his 25-year tenure serving the nation in government positions while advancing the vision of Swami Chinmayananda, founder of the Chinmaya Mission, a global spiritual organization focused on promoting Vedantic philosophy and teachings of the Bhagavad Gita.

Describing the Chinmaya Mission as more than an institutional body but rather a philosophical movement centered on pure consciousness, Modi underscored the founder's decades-long journey guided by spiritual conviction. He emphasized that citizens must work together to build a self-reliant nation while countering divisive narratives that threaten social unity.

The Prime Minister's remarks reflect broader government messaging on national cohesion and addressing social challenges through collective action rooted in India's cultural and philosophical heritage.
