Addressing an audience after the infrastructure ceremonies, Modi emphasised his focus on nationwide development and highlighted the significant strides achieved across various sectors over the past 12 years, citing defence exports as a key area of growth.
"I have always taken the country's development as my mantra," the Prime Minister said, underscoring his administration's commitment to translating policy into tangible outcomes for citizens and states alike.
Modi drew parallels between his tenure as Chief Minister and his current role as Prime Minister, noting that his experience leading a state had shaped his understanding of regional aspirations. "As Chief Minister, I understood the expectations of a state. After becoming PM, not only did I try to fulfil the aspirations but also made efforts so that states meet their aspiration goals," he stated.
The infrastructure projects inaugurated on Sunday span critical sectors including rail connectivity, road networks and petroleum distribution—areas central to Tamil Nadu's economic growth and regional development objectives. The collaboration between the Centre and state government underscores the administration's push for integrated development planning across India's southern regions.
