Modi convenes BJP's new leadership team, calls for fresh ideas

Prime Minister Narendra Modi held his first interaction with the BJP's newly-constituted national executive on Saturday, underscoring the importance of innovative thinking in strengthening the party organization.

The newly-appointed office-bearers, whose team was announced on August 17 under BJP president Nitin Nabin, gathered with Modi and other senior party figures to discuss organizational strategies and perspectives. The meeting also included representation from the outgoing national executive and several state unit chiefs.

"Organisational meetings are all about new ideas and perspectives aimed at strengthening the Party and deepening connect with the people," Modi stated following the interaction, highlighting the collaborative nature of the deliberations.

The new leadership configuration includes vice-presidents Ram Madhav and former Rajasthan chief minister Vasundhra Raje, alongside general secretaries including Smriti Irani, a former Union minister. The gathering represented a significant moment for the party as its restructured leadership assumed formal roles alongside the Prime Minister.
