Modi, Shah will face legal action over electoral fraud: Rahul Gandhi

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Monday launched a sharp attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, accusing them of electoral fraud and vowing legal action against them.

"Narendra Modi and Amit Shah, understand this -- after Gyanesh Kumar, we will stand against you," Gandhi said, invoking what appears to be a reference to electoral irregularities. He asserted that neither the Prime Minister nor the Home Minister would be able to escape legal consequences for what he termed "vote chori" or vote theft.

The Congress leader's remarks represent an escalation in the opposition party's allegations regarding electoral practices under the current government. Gandhi has previously raised concerns about the integrity of India's electoral process, though such claims remain contested by the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party.

The comments come amid ongoing political tensions between the Congress and the BJP, with both parties frequently trading accusations over governance and electoral conduct. Gandhi's statement signals the Congress's intention to maintain pressure on the government through legal and political channels.
