Modi touts 'Make in India' gains, emphasises infrastructure and innovation
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has highlighted the growing success of India's manufacturing initiative, crediting robust infrastructure development and innovation as key drivers of the country's economic expansion across multiple sectors.

Modi underscored the achievements of the 'Make in India' programme launched in September 2014, which aims to position India as a global manufacturing and innovation hub. In social media posts on Friday, the Prime Minister noted that the initiative has enabled increased domestic production, foreign investment and export growth across diverse industries.
"More made in India. More investment in India. More exports from India. A transformation visible across sectors," Modi stated, emphasising that the programme focuses on building infrastructure, fostering enterprise and encouraging innovation as catalysts for national prosperity.
The government has documented significant progress in semiconductor manufacturing, aerospace, rail engine and coach production, shipbuilding, urban metro networks, automotive, pharmaceutical, renewable energy and mobile phone industries. Modi shared video content on his official social media channels showcasing these advances as evidence of the initiative's broad-based impact.
The 'Make in India' framework is designed to attract investment, support entrepreneurial ventures and strengthen India's manufacturing capacity while positioning the nation competitively in global markets. The initiative represents a central pillar of the government's economic development strategy.
