Acting Governor Dim Ny of Mondulkiri province met with Vietnamese Ambassador to Cambodia Nguyen Minh Vu on October 31 to discuss expanded economic partnerships and investment prospects. The provincial leader highlighted existing cooperation frameworks with Vietnam's Dak Lak and Lam Dong provinces, as well as Dong Nai city, as a foundation for deepening bilateral ties.
The meeting underscored Cambodia's interest in attracting Vietnamese capital and business involvement in Mondulkiri, a province in the country's northeastern region. Officials focused on leveraging geographic proximity and established relationships between neighboring jurisdictions to drive economic development and job creation.
The initiative reflects broader efforts by both nations to strengthen cross-border economic integration. Vietnam and Cambodia have expanded collaboration across multiple sectors in recent years, including commerce, security cooperation, and cultural exchange programs aimed at fostering regional stability and prosperity.
