MANILA — Filipinos observing All Saints' Day on November 1 can expect mostly fair weather across the country, with only isolated thunderstorms likely in scattered locations, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
In its morning forecast, Pagasa indicated that the northeast monsoon system, locally known as the amihan, will be the dominant weather feature affecting the archipelago during the holiday period. This seasonal wind pattern typically brings drier conditions to most regions, particularly the eastern sections of Luzon and the Visayas.
While the overall forecast favors clear to partly cloudy skies, residents should remain vigilant for the possibility of brief rain showers and thunderstorms, especially in areas where moisture convergence occurs. Such weather disturbances are generally short-lived and confined to localized regions.
Pagasa advised the public to stay updated on weather bulletins and to exercise caution in flood-prone and landslide-susceptible areas, particularly after periods of heavy rainfall. Those planning cemetery visits and outdoor activities on the holiday are urged to monitor weather developments throughout the day.
