Family members filed a complaint with police after the woman disappeared. Officers traced and located her, bringing her back to meet with her relatives. However, during the reunion, the woman stated she felt no maternal bond with her children and expressed her intention to remain with her partner.
Police said they allowed her to leave based on her legal right to do so. The woman's decision to prioritize her personal relationship over her family responsibilities has left her husband and three children without support in Kanpur.
