Motorcyclist killed in collision with bus on Maharlika Highway

LUCENA CITY — A 34-year-old construction worker was killed in a nighttime collision between his motorcycle and a passenger bus along the Maharlika Highway in Pagbilao, Quezon province on Monday, August 24.

Quezon police reported on Tuesday that the victim, identified as a Lucena City resident, was operating his motorcycle in Barangay Silangang Malicboy when the bus struck him. The impact of the collision proved fatal.

Investigators from the provincial police are continuing their examination of the incident to determine the exact circumstances that led to the fatal crash. The bus driver remained at the scene following the collision.
