Mourinho Defends Mbappe Against 'Ridiculous' Criticism Over Injury Recovery

Mourinho expressed frustration with what he characterized as unfair scrutiny of Mbappe's rehabilitation methods, dismissing the criticism as overblown and counterproductive. The Real Madrid boss suggested that outside commentary on the player's recovery process lacked merit and distracted from the club's focus on getting the attacker back to full fitness.

Mbappe has been sidelined with a knee injury and is currently working to regain match fitness for the Spanish champions. The timing of his return remains a key consideration for Mourinho as Real Madrid prepares for upcoming fixtures.

Mourinho's public defense of Mbappe underscores the club's commitment to managing the player's recovery carefully following injury. The manager's strong language reflected his determination to shield the French forward from external pressure during what remains a delicate phase of rehabilitation.

Real Madrid will look to have Mbappe available for selection in the coming weeks as the season progresses. The club has provided no specific timeline for the forward's return but continues to prioritize his complete recovery over immediate availability.
