MP Rajapaksa remanded in custody until September 23rd
Colombo Fort Magistrate Pasan Amarasena has extended the remand of MP Namal Rajapaksa in connection with the Airbus scandal. The court ordered him to remain in custody for an additional week following arguments presented by the Deputy Solicitor General.

MP Namal Rajapaksa appeared before the Colombo Fort Magistrate's Court on September 16th as a suspect in the Airbus scandal investigation. Magistrate Pasan Amarasena, after hearing submissions from Deputy Solicitor General Janaka Bandara, ordered the further remand of the MP until September 23rd.
