Four eastbound lanes on Commonwealth Avenue will be closed from Saturday to Sunday as construction activities for the MRT-7 project continue, the Department of Transportation said in an advisory issued Friday.
The affected section runs from Amity Street to Ilang Ilang Street along the center of the eastbound carriageway. Closures will begin at 11 p.m. on Saturday and continue through Sunday, according to the DOTr.
Commuters are advised to seek alternative routes or allow additional travel time when navigating the affected corridor during the closure period. The temporary lane closures are part of ongoing infrastructure works associated with the expansion of the MRT-7 line.
The DOTr has not specified the exact time when lanes will reopen on Sunday. Motorists are encouraged to stay updated through official department advisories for any changes to the closure schedule.
