Multiple vehicles collide on Southern Expressway; over 10 injured
A major road accident has disrupted traffic on the Southern Expressway after a bus and several other vehicles collided between two key interchanges. More than 10 people have been hospitalised following the incident.

The accident occurred on the Southern Expressway between the Gelanigama and Dodangoda interchanges when a bus travelling from Matara towards Colombo struck multiple vehicles in its path. The collision resulted in significant traffic disruption on the expressway, a major transport corridor connecting the southern provinces to the capital.
Emergency services responded to the scene, and authorities confirmed that more than 10 people sustained injuries in the crash. The injured were transported to nearby medical facilities for treatment.
