Mumbai court petition challenges Special Integrated Review, seeks voter list restoration

A petition has been filed in the Bombay High Court challenging Maharashtra's Special Integrated Review (SIR) and seeking the restoration of voter names that were deleted during the process. The petition also raised questions about the software processes used in managing the electoral rolls. The petitioners argue that these technical and administrative issues have compromised the integrity of the voter registration system and warrant judicial intervention.

The petition seeks a stay on the Special Integrated Review process pending resolution of the grievances raised. The petitioners have also requested the court to direct authorities to restore the names of voters who were deleted from the electoral rolls during the review process.

The matter remains pending before the high court, which will determine whether to grant the requested relief and examine the allegations regarding irregularities in Maharashtra's voter registration procedures.
