X Money is now operational in the United States, marking an expansion of the platform's financial services offerings. The feature allows users to conduct peer-to-peer money transfers directly through the X platform, while also enabling purchases at online and physical retail locations.

Central to the rollout is a new $1 tipping mechanism, which aims to facilitate smaller transactions and engagement between users. The platform has also introduced an X Visa debit card, providing users with a tangible payment instrument linked to their digital wallet.

Access to X Money remains restricted to eligible account holders, with the company implementing verification requirements to determine user eligibility for the service. The eligibility criteria reflect regulatory compliance measures typical of financial service providers operating in the United States.

The expansion represents a significant step in X's diversification beyond its core social media operations. Financial services integration has become increasingly common among major tech platforms, though such offerings typically require robust compliance infrastructure and regulatory approval.

At present, X Money availability is limited to the US market, with no announcement regarding expansion to other regions, including India, where digital payment adoption continues to accelerate through existing platforms and banking channels.
