JOHOR BAHRU, Aug 20 — The MyBorderPass digital clearance system has experienced a significant outage affecting travellers at the KSAB entry and exit lanes in Johor, disrupting cross-border movement at one of the region's busier transit points.
According to immigration authorities, the technical disruption has rendered the application inaccessible to users attempting to process entry and exit documentation through the automated system. The outage coincides with peak travel periods, potentially affecting the flow of both bus and motorcycle travellers crossing the border.
In response, officials have directed affected travellers to utilize alternative clearance methods to expedite their passage. Manual immigration counters remain operational and available for processing, while the MyNIISe system has been identified as a functioning alternative for digital clearance requests.
No timeframe for restoration of the MyBorderPass system has been publicly announced. Travellers are encouraged to allow additional time for border processing and consider using the available alternatives to minimise delays during their crossing attempts.
