MyEG suspension to persist as RM314m payment dispute remains unresolved

KUALA LUMPUR — Transport Minister Anthony Loke Siew Fook said MyEG Services' operational suspension will remain in effect as long as the company fails to settle an outstanding payment of RM314 million.

The minister indicated that resolution of the longstanding financial dispute is a prerequisite for lifting the suspension, which has disrupted the company's service delivery in Malaysia.

MyEG Services, which provides vehicle and driving-related administrative services through digital platforms, has faced mounting pressure to address the payment shortfall. The suspension represents a significant development in the ongoing dispute between the transport authority and the service operator.

The ministry has maintained its position that compliance with financial obligations must be demonstrated before operations can resume. Officials have not announced a specific timeline for potential resolution of the matter.

The suspension has affected thousands of Malaysians who rely on MyEG's services for vehicle registration, renewal of driving licenses, and related administrative functions.
