Myntra's user base surges 30% as platform targets 100 million monthly shoppers

Myntra, India's leading online fashion platform, has reported a 30 per cent expansion in its customer base in 2026, positioning itself to reach the milestone of 100 million monthly active users. The growth trajectory became evident during the retailer's Big Fashion Festival, which opened to quadruple its typical demand levels, signaling robust consumer engagement during peak shopping seasons.

A notable shift emerged in the geographical distribution of orders, with smaller cities and tier-II and tier-III markets accounting for more than half of first-day sales. This trend reflects the increasing penetration of e-commerce into India's regional markets, where digital adoption and internet access have expanded significantly.

The platform's expansion strategy appears focused on capturing demand from emerging consumption centers beyond metropolitan areas. With smaller cities now representing the majority of opening-day transactions, Myntra is capitalizing on growing purchasing power and digital literacy in these regions.

The 100 million monthly active user target represents a substantial ambition for the fashion e-commerce sector in India. If achieved, it would position Myntra as a dominant force in the online retail landscape, reflecting broader consolidation in India's competitive digital commerce space. The platform's ability to sustain this growth will depend on maintaining service quality while expanding its reach into underserved markets.
