Mysuru industry calls for streamlined processes, improved logistics

Mysuru's industrial sector has renewed calls for streamlined business processes and better transportation infrastructure to boost competitiveness, with industry leaders and government representatives convening at a Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) forum to address bottlenecks affecting manufacturers.

Participants at the Ease of Doing Business conclave highlighted the need for simplified regulatory frameworks, improved logistics networks, and enhanced air connectivity to facilitate operations for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the region. The discussions underscored challenges faced by manufacturers in accessing markets and transporting goods efficiently.

Key areas of focus included streamlining government clearance processes, strengthening last-mile connectivity, and upgrading industrial infrastructure to attract and retain businesses in Mysuru. Officials emphasized the role of better air links in connecting the city's manufacturing base to national and international markets more effectively.

The conclave reflected growing consensus among stakeholders that infrastructure and regulatory improvements are essential to sustain Mysuru's position as a significant industrial center in Karnataka. Industry representatives noted that addressing these gaps could enhance the region's appeal to investors and support the expansion of existing manufacturing operations.
