Mysuru launches cleanup initiative along Outer Ring Road for Dasara

Mysuru Municipal Corporation has rolled out a focused sanitation campaign targeting the Outer Ring Road corridor as part of preparations for the Dasara festival. The drive encompasses street cleaning, waste management, and removal of encroachments to restore the main thoroughfare to optimal condition.

Municipal teams have been deployed to sweep and sanitize the entire stretch, with particular emphasis on removing debris and litter that accumulates along the busy arterial road. The initiative also addresses drainage maintenance and ensures proper disposal of waste generated during the cleanup operation.

The Outer Ring Road, a critical commercial and transportation artery connecting various parts of Mysuru, sees significant foot and vehicular traffic, particularly during festive seasons. Authorities view the cleanliness drive as essential for presenting a welcoming environment to the thousands of visitors expected to arrive for Dasara celebrations.

Mysuru's municipal administration has coordinated with sanitation workers and contractors to ensure the project progresses on schedule. Civic officials have indicated that similar cleanup efforts are underway across other key areas in the city to ensure comprehensive preparation for the festival, one of Karnataka's most significant cultural events.
