Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Monday virtually inaugurated foundation stones for development projects valued at ₹380 crore across Nellore district, signalling the state government's commitment to infrastructure expansion in the region.
The projects, spanning multiple sectors, are designed to address local infrastructure needs and facilitate economic development across the district. The virtual ceremony allowed the Chief Minister to participate in the event while adhering to administrative schedules and travel considerations.
Nellore district, a key region in Andhra Pradesh's industrial and agricultural economy, has been identified for priority development under the state's infrastructure modernisation programme. The projects are expected to generate employment opportunities and improve connectivity and service delivery across the district.
The virtual inauguration reflects the state government's push to accelerate project implementation and demonstrate progress on its developmental agenda. Officials indicated that work on the projects would commence promptly following the formal foundation-laying ceremonies.
