The gathering included Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, underscoring the significance attached to the occasion by the ruling establishment.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, whose Telugu Desam Party recently renewed its alliance with the BJP, participated in the temple visit and addressed the assembled gathering. Naidu expressed optimism about India's economic trajectory, stating that the nation would achieve developed-country status within the next 25 years under Modi's continued leadership.
The choice of Kashi Vishwanath Temple as the venue carried symbolic resonance, given Modi's long association with Varanasi, where he has served as Member of Parliament since 2014. The event reflected the BJP's emphasis on celebrating Modi's political longevity and the party's governance record as the 2024 electoral cycle unfolds.
