Navy to convene Indo-Pacific Regional Dialogue in New Delhi

The Indian Navy will open its doors to regional counterparts and policy specialists for an Indo-Pacific Regional Dialogue scheduled to commence in New Delhi on November 3. The multilateral gathering aims to establish actionable frameworks for deepening maritime cooperation across the strategically important Indo-Pacific region.

Representatives from 18 countries are expected to participate in the three-day forum, which will convene senior government officials, military strategists and domain experts to deliberate on shared challenges and opportunities. The dialogue will centre on four key pillars: maritime research initiatives, ocean governance structures, climate resilience strategies and the application of emerging technologies in the maritime domain.

The event reflects India's commitment to fostering collaborative mechanisms in the Indo-Pacific, where maritime security and environmental sustainability have emerged as critical concerns. By bringing diverse stakeholders to a common platform, the Navy seeks to identify practical measures that can strengthen collective capacity-building and regional stability.

The forum is expected to yield recommendations for enhanced coordination among participating nations on issues ranging from maritime safety and resource management to technological innovation and climate adaptation in coastal and ocean environments.
