The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) has confirmed the identification of two suspected cash houses in Pasig allegedly tied to former House Speaker Lord Allan Velasco and his wife Rowena, NBI Director Melvin Matibag said on Tuesday.

The validation came after dismissed police officer Rodulfo Gracioso Jr., who previously served under Velasco, identified the locations to authorities. Gracioso had worked in connection with the former House leader and provided investigators with information regarding the alleged illegal operations.

Director Matibag confirmed that the bureau's findings corroborated Gracioso's account, validating the existence and locations of the two properties in question. The NBI did not disclose additional operational details regarding the suspected cash houses or ongoing investigative steps.

The development adds to scrutiny surrounding the former House Speaker, who served as Speaker of the House of Representatives before stepping down from the position. The case appears to involve allegations of illegal financial operations, though specific charges and next investigative steps were not immediately detailed by the NBI.
