NBI investigates possible links between Zamboanga school shooting and other violence

The National Bureau of Investigation has launched an inquiry into potential connections between a shooting incident at Ateneo de Zamboanga University Junior High School and other instances of violence at educational institutions nationwide, according to agency officials.

NBI Director Melvin Matibag announced Wednesday that investigators are examining whether the AdZU incident forms part of a broader pattern of school-related violence in the country. The bureau is working in coordination with the Philippine National Police and other law enforcement agencies to determine any possible links between the cases.

The investigation comes as concern grows over the increasing number of violent incidents occurring in Philippine schools.
