NBI seizes P63 million in counterfeit luxury clothing across metro

The National Bureau of Investigation's National Capital Region office conducted a major enforcement operation targeting the distribution of counterfeit luxury clothing, resulting in the seizure of merchandise valued at roughly P63 million.
According to NBI-NCR Regional Director Emeterio Dongallo Jr., agents executed the coordinated operation on Tuesday, targeting six commercial stalls operating within shopping malls in Baclaran, Pasay City. Additional raids were conducted at a warehouse facility in Valenzuela City as part of the same enforcement action.
The confiscated items consist of counterfeit versions of high-end designer brands. The operation represents a continued effort by the NBI to combat the illegal trade in counterfeit goods, which remains a significant concern in the retail sector.
The seizure underscores ongoing challenges in protecting intellectual property rights and combating organized retail fraud in the metro. Authorities continue to investigate the distribution networks and supply chains associated with the counterfeit merchandise.
