NC chief condemns IAS officer's conduct towards female JKAS official

Farooq Abdullah, president of the National Conference, has criticized an IAS officer for alleged misconduct towards a female JKAS (Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service) official, terming the behavior as a violation of professional standards.

Abdullah stated that such conduct is unacceptable and demanded that the officer responsible be transferred out of Jammu and Kashmir. He emphasized that administrative officials are expected to uphold professional conduct and treat all citizens and colleagues with dignity.

The NC leader underscored the fundamental responsibility of government officers to address public grievances and resolve citizen concerns rather than humiliating them. He argued that the reported incident contradicts the basic principles of public service and administrative ethics that officers are mandated to follow.

The incident has drawn attention to workplace conduct standards within the administration and the need for ensuring respectful treatment of officials across all service categories in the union territory.
