NCC overhauls curriculum with flight simulators and drone training
Singapore's National Cadet Corps is introducing advanced military training experiences including F-16 flight simulators and unmanned aerial vehicle operations. The revamped programme will expose all cadets to common core training alongside specialised skill development.

The National Cadet Corps (NCC) is modernising its curriculum to equip cadets with cutting-edge military capabilities and foundational life skills. The enhanced programme will provide hands-on experience with F-16 flight simulators, allowing cadets to gain exposure to advanced aerial operations without leaving the ground.
Drone operations training will also feature prominently in the new curriculum, reflecting the growing importance of unmanned systems in contemporary defence. These specialised modules aim to develop cadets' technical proficiency and understanding of emerging military technologies.
Beyond technical training, the NCC will implement common core training designed to broaden cadets' experiences across the Singapore Armed Forces. This foundational component will ensure all participants develop essential life skills and gain exposure to diverse SAF operations, regardless of their chosen specialisation.
The curriculum overhaul represents a strategic effort to modernise cadet training and better prepare participants for potential military service. By integrating advanced simulator technology with comprehensive core training, the NCC aims to enhance the calibre of its cadet corps while fostering well-rounded military personnel.
