The curriculum now includes detailed accounts of regional rulers and their military campaigns against invaders spanning from 1000 to 1700 CE. Among the newly emphasized figures is Chalukya queen Nayaki Devi, whose military victories against foreign commanders are now part of the standard Class 9 history syllabus. The restructured syllabus represents a significant departure from the previous curriculum framework. The textbook 'India and the World Part 1' has been relocated from Class 9 to Class 10, allowing educators to allocate additional time to the newly expanded sections on medieval Indian history.
