The veteran politician left Breach Candy Hospital on Saturday and returned to his residence nearby, concluding his hospitalization that began on November 4. Pawar had initially sought treatment at Ruby Hall Clinic in Pune on November 2 before being discharged two days later and subsequently admitted to the Mumbai facility.
The former Union minister received several high-profile visitors during his hospital stay on Friday evening. Congress leaders Sushilkumar Shinde and Balasaheb Thorat, along with NCP leader Dilip Walse-Patil, called on Pawar to inquire about his health. Industrialist Gautam Adani and senior NCP leader Praful Patel also visited the hospital during the treatment period.
The hospitalization marks a significant health concern for the octogenarian politician, who continues to play an active role in national and state politics as head of the NCP (Sharad Pawar) faction following the party's split in 2023.
