NCP (SP) chief Sharad Pawar discharged from Pune hospital

Sharad Pawar, the prominent NCP (SP) chief, left Ruby Hall Clinic on Tuesday following a brief hospitalization for respiratory concerns. The 83-year-old politician had been admitted after complaints of persistent cough, but his medical team confirmed his condition had stabilized by the time of discharge.

Attending physicians advised the veteran leader to prioritize rest during his recovery period. While specific details regarding the underlying cause of his hospitalization remain limited, hospital sources indicated that his vital parameters had returned to normal ranges.

Parwar's hospitalization had drawn attention given his significant role within the Sharad Pawar-led faction of the Nationalist Congress Party, which split from the original NCP in 2023. The party chief has maintained an active political schedule despite his age, though he has occasionally required medical attention in recent years.

The discharge comes as political activities intensify across Maharashtra ahead of upcoming elections. Party associates have indicated that Pawar would gradually resume his responsibilities following medical advice for a period of recuperation.
