Senior Nationalist Congress Party leader Sharad Pawar has been admitted to a private medical facility in Pune for observation following complaints of pleuritic pain, a condition typically involving sharp chest discomfort related to the pleural membrane surrounding the lungs.

The 83-year-old politician was admitted to Ruby Hall Clinic after reporting the symptoms. His daughter Supriya Sule, a Member of Parliament, confirmed his hospitalisation and stated that his core health parameters, including vital signs, are currently stable.

Pleuritic pain is commonly caused by inflammation or infection of the pleura and often requires medical evaluation and monitoring to determine the underlying cause. The hospital has kept the veteran leader under observation as part of diagnostic and management protocols.

Parwal's admission comes amid his continued involvement in party affairs. The timing and nature of his hospitalisation have prompted inquiries from political circles, though his family has sought to allay concerns by emphasising the stability of his current medical condition.

Further medical updates regarding the NCP supremo are expected as investigations progress at the healthcare facility.
