Nearly half of Singapore firms adopt AI in recruitment drive
A significant proportion of local employers are leveraging artificial intelligence to streamline hiring processes, though human oversight remains critical in decision-making, according to industry findings.

Approximately 45 per cent of Singapore employers have integrated artificial intelligence into their recruitment and hiring operations, reflecting a growing trend toward automation in talent acquisition across the region's business landscape.
The adoption of AI-powered recruitment tools demonstrates companies' efforts to enhance efficiency and scale their hiring capabilities. However, the rollout of such technologies remains carefully controlled, with the majority of employers maintaining stringent human oversight protocols.
According to survey data, 85 per cent of organisations using automated AI processes in recruitment require human confirmation before finalising hiring decisions. This substantial reliance on human verification suggests employers view AI as a complementary tool rather than a replacement for human judgment in critical employment decisions.
The findings highlight a balanced approach to recruitment automation among Singapore's business community, where efficiency gains from artificial intelligence are pursued alongside safeguards to ensure fair and considered hiring outcomes. As AI adoption in human resources continues to evolve, the emphasis on human-in-the-loop decision-making appears to remain a priority for local employers navigating this technological transition.
