Negeri Sembilan civil society group accuses state exco of sedition

KUALA LUMPUR — The Dewan Keadilan dan Undang-undang Negeri Sembilan (DKU), a civil society organisation, has filed formal accusations against Negeri Sembilan state executive councillors, alleging they have engaged in seditious conduct and attempted to challenge the constitutional position of Tuanku Muhriz, the Sultan of Negeri Sembilan.
The organisation claims the alleged actions by state officials constitute a breach of their oath of office and undermine the institution of the Negeri Sembilan monarchy. The DKU has called for a formal investigation into the matter and demanded accountability from those involved.
The accusations, made public on Tuesday, have thrust Negeri Sembilan's state governance into scrutiny at a time of heightened political sensitivity across Malaysia.
