The incident occurred when the assailant and an accomplice entered the woman's parental home around 2 a.m., targeting the married pair who were asleep.
The confrontation stemmed from disagreement over photographs the woman had posted online, according to initial police reports. The couple, who had married for love, sustained bullet injuries in the attack and were immediately admitted to hospital for treatment.
Local police moved swiftly following the incident, apprehending the primary accused. However, the suspect's associate remains at large, and authorities have launched a manhunt to locate the second suspect involved in the shooting.
