Narasimha Murthy, chairman of the Nellore District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), visited the local prison to review conditions and reaffirm the availability of free legal assistance for economically disadvantaged inmates. During the inspection, Murthy engaged directly with prisoners to understand their circumstances and grievances.
The DLSA chairman inquired about the quality and regularity of meal provisions available to inmates, as well as the adequacy of medical facilities within the prison. He also sought detailed information regarding individual case statuses, aiming to ensure that prisoners have proper legal representation regardless of their financial situation.
