Nestle India reported a 36 per cent increase in profit during the second quarter, marking continued strong performance in a challenging operating environment. The company has demonstrated resilience through four consecutive quarters of superior growth following the implementation of GST 2.0, which expanded its addressable market and consumer reach across new segments.

However, brokerages including Motilal Oswal have flagged that growth momentum is expected to moderate in the coming quarters. The slowdown reflects a combination of high base effects from previous strong quarters, rising food inflation pressuring margins, and limited pricing power in a competitive market.

Analysts point out that while Nestle India's operational performance remains solid, current valuations offer limited room for significant appreciation. The company faces headwinds from elevated input costs and inflationary pressures that could further constrain margin expansion going forward.

The outlook suggests investors should exercise caution on fresh commitments at prevailing valuations, despite the company's track record of consistent execution. Market participants are watching closely for management guidance on pricing actions and volume growth in the coming quarters to assess sustainability of the growth trajectory.
