Nestle India Q2 profit surges 36% as revenue growth accelerates to 20%

Nestle India delivered robust financial performance in the second quarter of fiscal 2027, posting a 36.32 per cent year-on-year increase in consolidated net profit at ₹1,026.77 crore, according to a regulatory filing released Thursday. The result reflects sustained momentum in India's fast-moving consumer goods sector, with revenue from product sales climbing 20.45 per cent to ₹6,782.17 crore during the July-September period.

The company achieved broad-based growth across its product portfolio, underpinned by double-digit volume expansion. The revenue trajectory accelerated from ₹5,630.23 crore recorded in the same quarter of the previous fiscal year, demonstrating resilient demand across Nestle's consumer-focused portfolio.

Operational efficiency remained a strategic priority even as the company ramped up brand-building efforts. Advertising and marketing expenditure climbed 46 per cent year-on-year, reflecting Nestle's commitment to strengthening market position amid intensifying competition in the consumer staples segment. The company maintained healthy EBITDA margins while balancing growth investments with cost management.

Chairman and Managing Director Manish Tiwary attributed the quarter's performance to "strong and broad-based growth across all product groups," noting that double-digit volume increases complemented the overall sales expansion. The results position Nestle India favourably as consumer spending patterns stabilise following seasonal fluctuations.
